Privacy Policy for Chrono Zones

Ideate Labs LLC (”we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Chrono Zones mobile application (”the App”) manages user information.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Chrono Zones mobile application. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Introduction & Scope

Chrono Zones is designed to provide tools, insights, and guidance intended to support the optimization of an individual’s daily performance through circadian alignment notifications, behavioral suggestions, and related features. The App is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only. This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (together, “CCPA/CPRA”), and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

2. Data Collection & Use

Information collected directly from you: Name; Email address (used for promotional communications related to the App). Information generated by the App: Chrono Zones does not collect analytics, telemetry, usage behavior, or any other information generated through your use of the App. All processing of timers, progress, and user preferences occurs locally on your device. Information collected incidentally through the App’s function: Geolocation information (e.g., timezone, latitude, longitude, region) may support circadian and daylight-based features. This data remains on your device only and is not used, sold, shared, or transmitted to us or to any third party. Ethnicity-related information that you may voluntarily provide remains on your device only and is not used for advertising, profiling, sold, shared, or transmitted to us or any third party. We do collect username and email. We do not collect or track user behavior across apps or websites, sell or share data with third parties, use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or transmit locally stored data to our servers or any third party.

3. Local Storage

Chrono Zones uses your device’s local storage to save app settings and preferences, progress tracking data (such as completed timers and schedules), notification and reminder configurations, geolocation information used for circadian calculations (latitude, longitude, timezone), and any ethnicity-related information you choose to enter. This data never leaves your device unless you independently back up your device or use your operating system’s backup services.

4. Third-Party Services

Chrono Zones does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. If third-party features are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to disclose them.

5. California Privacy Disclosures (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents. Notice at Collection: categories of personal information collected include identifiers (name, email), geolocation, and Sensitive Personal Information (ethnicity-related information where you choose to provide it, and precise geolocation). Purposes include promotional emails and circadian/daylight features processed locally. Identifiers are retained only as long as you maintain an account or until you request deletion. Geolocation and ethnicity information are retained only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its storage. We do not sell or share personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, including for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you and only process it as necessary to provide the App’s features. Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of Sensitive Personal Information, and receive non-discriminatory treatment. California residents may also request information under Shine the Light. The App honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals to the extent applicable.

6. European Privacy Disclosures (GDPR)

This section applies to users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Ideate Labs LLC is the data controller for the name and email address collected for promotional communications. For data stored solely on your device, Ideate Labs LLC does not act as a controller because that data never leaves your device. Geolocation, ethnicity-related information, timers, and preferences remain on your device and are not transmitted to us. Where you choose to provide ethnicity-related information, you give explicit consent for it to be processed solely to support the App’s features, stored only on your device, and never shared. No international transfer of locally stored data occurs; for name and email transfers outside the EEA, we rely on recognized lawful mechanisms. Subject to applicable law, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority. The App does not use solely automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects. 7. Children’s Privacy

The Chrono Zones App is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. The App is not directed to children under 13, consistent with COPPA and GDPR.

8. Security

All data created within Chrono Zones remains on your device. We rely on built-in device security features, such as operating system encryption, passwords, and biometric locks, to protect locally stored data. In the unlikely event of a breach affecting data we control, we will notify affected users and applicable supervisory authorities without undue delay, consistent with GDPR requirements.

9. User Rights Summary

With respect to the username and email address we collect, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, and withdrawal of consent. You may opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly. To exercise these rights, contact ideatelabsllc@gmail.com. We may require identity verification.

10. Data Retention

Locally stored data, including timers, preferences, geolocation, and ethnicity-related fields, is retained until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Name and email are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to honor deletion requests and legal obligations, or until you request deletion.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in app functionality or applicable law. The revised policy will be available within the App or on our website. Where changes are material, we will notify you through the App and, where required by law, via email.
